Corporate Hatha Yoga

Monday to Friday ~ Corporate Lunch Classes

These class will explore a wide range of poses designed for corporate employees. Students will explore pranayama breathing and asana practice to increase energy and mobility.  Postures are taught at all levels allowing students to increase their strength, flexibility and knowledge of hatha yoga & meditation.

Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is a detoxifying practice in an intentionally heated room (high +32°C). Expect to perspire! Hot yoga is an ideal practice for flushing the body of toxins, increasing flexibility, and building core strength. Hot Yoga is a pre-set sequence of asanas, which allows for the practitioner to observe their progress over time in a systematic way. All postures can be modified to suit the individual.  This series is a cardiovascular workout that strengthens, tones, and stretches the muscles while calming the mind and reducing stress. Regular practice helps improve concentration, balance, endurance, and alleviates fatigue.  Come and try this fun and dynamic class beginning and ending your week on Monday & Fridays at 5:45pm, or start your Tuesday morning at 9:30am, or mid-week Wednesday at 5:45pm.

Power Vinyasa Yoga

Thursday 5:45pm, Saturday 2:00pm & Sunday 6:30pm ~ Rama Lotus Yoga Centre

Power Vinyasa hot yoga focuses on using breath to connect to the body, mind and soul. Using an energetic vinyasa flow as foundation, combined with specifically sequenced set of flowing yoga postures.  This fun dynamic challenging class builds strength, core, detoxification.  With regular practice, you will increase endurance, release tension, and create more flexibility in the entire body.  Suitable for all levels, be ready to sweat, work hard and let the transformation begin.  Taught on Thursday 5:45pm in a warm room and on weekends in the hot room, Saturday 2pm & Sunday 6:30pm.

Yin Yoga

Sunday 9:15am & Tuesday 5:45pm ~ Santosha Yoga Elgin

Thursday 4:00pm ~ Rama Lotus Yoga Studio

Yin yoga is a slow-moving style that holds postures for long periods of time, usually with the support of props.  There is a strong meditative focus to this quiet practice done in a still and passive way.  Yin Yoga targets to relax deep connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and cartilage, with stretches helping our joints to stay moist and supple.  This calming slow realease increases mobility and flexibility in our body and mind.  The postures are all practiced on the floor.  Suggestion: Bring a blanket or shawl to stay warm in still asanas.  End your work day with Tuesday night 5:45pm, or Thursday afternoon 4pm and Sunday rise and shine morning at 9:15am.  Suitable for all levels, especially beginners.
